Think you can get a hole in one for R100 000?

All it takes is one swing and you could be R100 000 richer!

JEDD Civils is hosting a charity golf day at Tweefontein Golf Club, and what makes things better is that you have a chance to go home with R100 000 in your pocket, that is if you can get a hole in one on hole number 9.

On April 11, JEDD Civils will be hosting a golf day in hopes of raising funds for the community. All the funds raised will go towards refurbishing and revamping primary schools situated on the outskirts of eMalahleni, namely Ogies Primary, Blinkpan Laerskool and Laerskool Koorenfontein (Tweefontein).

“We though of using the golf day to get all the materials together to help those three schools, ultimately the funding will go to the schools and JEDD Civils will handle the labour and construction in restoring and improving on the schools,” said Mr Okkert van Wyk, JEDD Civils.

Now a bit about hole number 9. It’s a par 3 hole, meaning its pretty short in distance at a mere 145m for the men and 99m for the ladies, so everyone has a chance to at making their R100 000 shot.

“I spoke with one of my suppliers and he has opted to sponsor hole 9’s prize, R100 000 in cold hard cash,” added van Wyk.
Talisman Tool Hire is also joining on the day as they will be supplying the materials used in the work on the schools, “We are trying to get everybody together to make a difference in the community, specifically those schools,” continued van Wyk.

Van Wyk added that JEDD Civils is looking to make the golf day an annual event, pulling all the mines and businesses together to do charity work, putting money back into the community.
“The directors from our head office will be here to play the course, and JEDD in Witbank has signed up four four-ball’s, many of our contractors are pulling their clients in, not only is it going to be a great day of golf but its also a good business opportunity,” added van Wyk.

Van Wyk wishes to thank Talisman Tool Hire, I-Cat, Marmac and Mass-Hire for teaming up alongside JEDD Civils and hopes that the golf day will turn out to be a huge success.

If you are interested in the golf day, it will cost R2 000 per four-ball, this includes prize giving and dinner. Companies or individuals are welcome to sponsor a hole or green at R2 000 each, and all proceeds will be donated towards charity.
