Innocent Mdledle pens 30-month contract with Aces

Mpumalanga Black Aces reported on their website that Innocent Mdledle the ex Supersport United, Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates defender has been signed and will join Aces on their camp in Nelspruit.

Aces started their camp on Thursday, January 16.

Mdledle, who hails from Matatiele in Eastern Cape, has been the target of Aces for sometime and is a specialist left back, will add huge value to Clive Barker defensive unit.

Mdledle who could easily have played the more than 11 caps for Bafana had it not been for some unfortunate injuries, was a standout player for the South African under-23 squad. He was also part of the South African team at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and has a reputation for his hard tackling.

He really made a name for himself at Orlando Pirates where he played 80 matches from 2005-200, before he was lured to Mamelodi Sundowns.

He passed his medical exam and Aces are delighted to have acquired the services of a quality left back.
“I am confident that his vast experience and good work rate will suit the team and depth to our left back position,” said Aces chairman Mario Morfou, who signed the contract.

The chairman also confirmed that they have decided against signing Derrick Spencer and that Danleigh Borman has been placed on transfer
