Ayden Vosloo from Laerskool Kragbron celebrates winning rosettes on day one of the show.

SANESA currently boasts 14 horse riding disciplines that riders can choose to participate in; including dressage, show jumping, showing, eventing, western mounted games, equitation, etc.

Four qualifying shows are followed by a national SANESA competition, with the riders with the most accumulated points in each discipline going forward to represent their province at the annual SANESA National Championships during September/October.

On the weekend of May 3, the riders from Riverview Stables (situated in Riverview Country Estate) trucked their steeds all the way to eManzana.

This show stretched over three days for Riverview’s riders; testing their willpower, stamina and determination.

Day one saw Ayden Vosloo (representing Laerskool Kragbron) on his bay thoroughbred mare, Erize, claiming a first for in-hand utility and a fourth in his working hunter class.

Llewelyn walked away with two placings in performance riding and working riding, whilst Ayden placed in the 80cm Show Jumping, came second in the 2-Phase 80cm Show Jumping and fourth in working riding.

On day three, Llewelyn and Irish Mist competed again – joined by Chantel Edwards on her black Friesian stallion, Humphries Bismarck.
