Majoro looking to make history at Pirates

Lehlohonolo Majoro hopes to make a mark during his time at Orlando Pirates and hopes that he will be remembered as a player who helped the club make history.

“I must say that at big teams with a rich history, you always want to be among the players or generation that will be remembered among the those that has done well for the team.”

The striker joined Pirates earlier this year after playing for Soweto rivals Kaizer Chiefs. He explained that players who join big clubs do so because they’re excited for the opportunity to become part of a golden generation for that club.

“It is up to us to try by all means to be remembered, there is always that pressure and that is positive pressure,” Majoro said.
Majoro explained that he hopes that the team he is part of now will achieve success similar to the club’s 1995 team, which won the CAF Champions League title for the first and only time in the club’s history.

Pirates begin their 2014/2015 season with a MTN8 clash against SuperSport United on Saturday.
