SA U-17 thrash Botswana

South Africa’s national U-17 football side defeated their Botswana counterparts 4-0 in a friendly at the Molepolole Stadium on Sunday.

Nelson Maluleka scored a brace, while Thendo Mukumela and Sibongakonke Mbatha also found the back of the net for ‘Amajimbos’.

This was the second match in a week between the two nations. South Africa won the first encounter 2-0 on Thursday.

On Monday the South African team travels to Lesotho for two more matches.

The clashes are part of preparations for the upcoming 2015 African Youth Championship qualifier against Tanzania on Friday, 18 July in Dar es Salaam.
