Sanco took the initiative to help victims of house fire

We managed only to paint a bedroom and the toilet, the other rooms could not be fixed because we did not have enough money

Sanco members of Hlalanikahle Ward 2 took the initiative as a caring organisation to help a child-headed family to fix their house.

According to Warren Masemola the RDP house in Extension 3 in Hlalanikahle burned last year in August.

The matter was reported to the police and the ward councillor was also made aware of the matter.

The house could not be fixed because of unknown reasons.

“We as Sanco in Ward 2 do not know what happened, but we took the initiative to seek help. We made arrangements to go on a donation drive to fix the damaged house. We put back the windows and painted the house as well. We managed only to paint a bedroom and the toilet, the other rooms could not be fixed because we did not have enough money,” noted Masemola.

Masemola would like to extend his thanks to two local companies for their donations and also thanked the leadership of cluster 1 of Sanco.

They are still requesting donations from other companies or individuals to completely fix the house and they need furniture as well.

Companies or individuals who want to help can contact the secretary of the organisation, Lerato Ngcongwane at 066 541 1070 or Warren Masemola at 060 881 2764.
