Local cellphone shop targeted by armed robbers

Investigations are currently continuing on the scene.

Police are on the scene.

Witbank SAPS confirmed that an armed robbery occurred at a local cellphone shop in Klipfontein.

According to information received, a group of armed suspects tried to rob the shop.

CSC Virtual Guarding, however, stopped the robbers, and during a shoot-out, one robber was shot and arrested on the scene.

A second robber was also shot, but he and the others managed to escape.

Police are still busy gathering evidence on the scene.
