Man found after being taken by force at a local garage in eMalahleni

The man was found on the N12 near Delmas and taken to Delmas Police Station.

A man visited a garage in Mandela Street earlier today when he was handcuffed and forced into a vehicle.

 

He was apparently dropped off on the N12 near Delmas where he was found and taken to Delmas Police Station.

 

The spokesperson of the police station, Captain Carla Hartley, said the victim told police that only his gardening tools were taken during the incident.

 

Hartley said the case has been transferred to Witbank Police Station and that a search for the vehicle, a silver Toyota station wagon/SUV, registration number: NJ 93550, is in progress.

 

The spokesperson for Witbank Police Station, Captain Eddie Hall, advises that potential hostage victims should not become panic-stricken or hysterical, offer any form of resistance, become abusive and aggressive or lose their temper.
