The three teams fighting the second spot won their game in the past weekend, TUT overcoming Tsunami Queens 3-0, UWC beating 2-0 and JVW claiming a 2-0 victory over Emalahleni-based Coal City Wizards.
At the tail end of the table, the teams are fighting for their survival, Golden Ladies kept their survival hopes alive with a thrilling 3-2 win over Durban Ladies at the Montshioa Stadium in Mahikeng.
Bloem Celtic meanwhile was held to a 0-0 draw at home by First Touch FC.
MaLadies were surprised by City Lads who beat them 2-0 at home, while UJ were held to a goalless draw by Thunderbirds Ladies.
Coal City Wizards after playing 26 games are positioned 13th on the log with seven wins, two draws and 17 losses.
Wizards will play Touch on Sunday, November 13.
