Girls at Reynorif Primary receives sanitary items

The school principal, Mr Lesley Sikwambane in his opening remarks at the occasion appreciated the good initiative and the bravery of these girls.

Laerskool Reynorif hosted a sanitary pad drive for the grade six and seven girls.

The young ladies from the school who started the initative: Sthembiso Makwakwa, Mvelo Ngwenya, pastor Nadine van Schalkwyk (Hope is Here NPO, Living Word Witbank) Hlelolwethu Khumalo, Blessing Msiza and Jay Mokwena

This was an initiative taken by five grade seven girls earlier in the year to organize an emergency starter pack of sanitary bags for all the girls entering the puberty stage.

 

The school was fortunate enough to receive sponsors from Hope is Here from Living Word Witbank and Mzikampumi Trading & Projects.

Each grade seven and grade six girl received a gift bag filled with sanitary products.

The lovely gift packets the girls received.

The school principal, Mr Lesley Sikwambane in his opening remarks at the occasion appreciated the good initiative and the bravery of these girls who saw it fit to assist other girls to curb unnecessary accidents to happen.

He also acknowledged and appreciated the sponsors (Hope is Here, Living Word Witbank, and Mzikampumi Trading and Projects).

Appreciated the school Educators who donated towards this project, Ms Marthie Grobler, and Magda Sage for assisting in soliciting sponsorships and organizing this event.
