Let’s give a warm welcome to spring with a night race at Kragbron

Don’t be afraid when you see all neon colours on the evening of August 31, it is only runners welcoming spring.

Welcoming spring in neon colours is going to be fun.

 

Laerskool Kragbron is presenting a night race on August 31 at 19:00 with loads of cash prizes up for grabs.

 

The first, second and third winners in the open category both men and women will win R400, R300 and R200 respectively. 

 

The 40+, 50+, 60+, junior and walker winners will win themselves R300.

 

All the winners will receive medals.

 

There is also a prize for the best dressed ‘neon’ runner.

 

Registration opens at 17:00 at the school’s sports grounds.

 

Entry fees are: R40 for the 4.9 km, R80 for the 10 km and temporary licenses are R40 each.

 

Athletes for the 10 km must be 14 years or older on the day of the race.

 

Wearing a headlight is recommended.
