Future cricket stars are batting out the competition

The teams of both Curro Bankenveld and Laerskool Klipfontein shared big smiles on the field.

The u.8 mini-cricket teams of Curro Bankenveld and Laerskool Klipfontein batted it out for victory last Thursday.

The match was hosted by Curro Bankenveld last week on August 11 with an atmosphere that buzzed with excitement from both teams and parents.

Sharav Bhagwandeen (batsman) from Curro Bankenveld and Kyle Nortjé (wicket-keeper) from Laerskool Klipfontein.

Coaches shouted words of encouragement to happy teams, and players greatly supported their young team members.

Although there can only be one winner on the scoreboard, both teams shared big smiles throughout the game.

Curro claimed the victory with a score of 45 to 65.

“May parents never forget how important playing outside with your child is for their emotions and development,” Bianca Bezuidenhout, coach for Laerskool Klipfontein, said in closing.
