Sister robbed of her cellphone

The suspects overpowered the victim and fled in a vehicle without number plates.

A brother has reported that his sister was robbed of her cellphone after she was assaulted.

The lady was reportedly walking on Iris Street when she was confronted by the two suspects who first tried to scam her by dropping fake money when they saw that their plan did not work, they then demanded her cellphone and she refused; a scuffle ensued after that.

They were able to overpower her and a getaway car without number plates came by.

They got into the car and drove away.

According to the brother, his sister is still traumatised by the experience.

The cost of the cellphone is valued at R7 000.

A case has been reported to the police; they are investigating a case of robbery and assault.
