Coal City Wizards losing another home game

Another three points gone for Coal City Wizards.

Losing two games in succession is hard a blow for the home team Coal City Wizards. They lost another game against Vasco da Gama and it was played at the Puma Stadium on Tuesday, August 9, Women’s Day.

On Sunday, August 7 at the same Puma Stadium, Wizards lost 1-0 to recently acquired Bloem Celtic Ladies, now known as Royal AM.

Other results in the Hollywoodbets Super League were as follows: There were big wins for TUT FC who beat Golden Ladies 5-1 away from home and JVW who cruised to a 4-0 home win over Tsunami Queens.

Those results see TUT go four points clear atop the standings with JVW now just a single point off Sundowns.

It’s worth mentioning that both sides have played more games than Sundowns who are away on Cosafa Champions League duty.

For Golden Ladies and Tsunami Queens, however, things are looking dire. Golden Ladies are second-bottom with three points and a -43 goal difference after just 15 games. Tsunami Queens are rock-bottom on two points after 13 games.

UJ FC bounced back from defeat against JVW with a solid 4-1 away win over First Touch FC. City Lads Ladies struggled as they were overcome by Bloem Celtic, with the Free Staters running our 3-0 winners.

Elsewhere, Vasco da Gama bagged an excellent 3-1 away win over Coal City Wizards while UWC bagged a 4-2 win against Durban Ladies in KwaZulu-Natal.

Wizards are now positioned 12th on the log after playing 13 games, winning four with no draw, and losing nine with 12 points.
