On Friday, September 27, the event aimed to share valuable insights on life in jail, crime consequences, job opportunities, leadership, and business ventures.

Participants aspire to guide young people toward positive life choices.
The inaugural event saw correctional services, law enforcement, local government, and community leaders join forces. Notable supporters include Bheki Mhlambi, Sergeant David Ratau, Ben Masilela, Selby Mkhwanazi, Dudu Khumalo, Emily Masilela, Chief Ndabezitha Moses Bhongolo, Apostle Joseph Skhosana, and more.

Talented local performers, including Isithuthukile dancers, Wisdom Reformers gospel singers, Shaun and friends, and Nosipho Msane, showcased the community’s vibrant spirit.

As Emily Masilela the organiser of the event reminded everyone it takes a village to raise a child.

“Unity is strength, division is weakness.”

This movement serves as a shining example of collective action toward a common goal – securing a promising future for eMalahleni’s youth.
