The New Life Church Children’s Home in eMalahleni received a significant boost with a cheque handover from the Highveld Park Neighbourhood Watch.
The handover took place on Wednesday, September 11.
The home, which caters for orphaned and vulnerable children, relies heavily on community support and private funding.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support we receive from the community. Donations like this enable us to continue providing a safe and loving environment for the children in our care. We are thankful for the generosity of the Highveld Park Neighbourhood Watch and encourage other businesses and individuals to consider supporting our cause,” said Tammy de Oliveira, the center manager.
The center, which consists of four homes, can house up to 40 children and provides a unique and modern environment, with one of the homes being made from shipping containers. The organisation is privately funded, and the recent donation will go a long way in helping them achieve their goals.
