From farm to published author, Sam inspires with uplifting stories

Sam’s writings communicate messages of optimism and perseverance, with his book being an excellent example.

Sam Mathe (54), from eMalahleni, has established himself as a motivational writer, encouraging readers with his upbeat writings.

“Everyone has a story to tell, and I want to help people share theirs. My writing is about motivating people to hold onto their dreams, no matter their challenges. I want my stories to be a beacon of hope for those who have lost their way,” said Sam.

Growing up on a farm, Sam witnessed illegal evictions of families, which inspired his passion to share their tales.

He began writing on social media, offering compelling stories that interested people.

Encouraged by many, he wrote his début novel, ‘Long Journey Keep Walking,’ which encourages readers to pursue their ambitions.

“The most challenging part of writing is getting sponsors, but I don’t let that discourage me. I use criticism as motivation to improve my writing. I believe that every setback is an opportunity to learn and grow,” he said.

Sam’s writing technique consists of drawing on personal experiences and talking with elders to collect information.

His writings communicate messages of optimism and perseverance, with his book being an excellent example.

“Success comes after sacrifice, I encourage others to take their journey and never give up on their dreams. Don’t be afraid to take risks and try new things, that is where the real growth happens,” Sam explained.

Sam hopes to inspire millions by making his novels available on Kindle and pursuing international fame.

“I foresee my writing going international and speaking to millions. I want my stories to make a difference in people’s lives. I want to leave a legacy that will outlast me,” said Sam.

Sam’s engagement with his church to sell books and raise funds for charity has also inspired him.

“Giving back to the community is important to me, I believe we should all use our talents to make a positive impact on the world,” he concluded.
