Kabelo, Tshegofatso and Pamela have one goal in mind – to represent the district at the national netball champs

Three talented Futures Stars netball players have been chosen to represent the Nkangala Netball team at the NSA National Championships in Johannesburg.

Three talented Futures Stars netball players, Kabelo Tlou, Tshegofatso Riba (U23), and Pamela Nkungwana (U21), have been selected to represent the Nkangala Netball team at the NSA National Championships in Johannesburg from September 25 to September 30.

“We are incredibly proud of these young athletes for their hard work and dedication to the sport,” said Ayanda Khalo, the coach.

They need the community’s support to make this trip a success.

They are seeking sponsorship or donations to cover the total cost of R6 000 per player, which includes accommodation, meals, transport, and attire.

Tshegofatso, who lives with a disability, is an inspiration to his teammates and coaches, “I’m so proud of Tshegofatso for his goal-driven spirit and determination,” said Ayanda. “He started playing netball without any experience but has grown into an outstanding athlete.”

Kabelo Tlou, who has been playing netball since 2022, is another talented player who has shown great potential, “I believe in these players, and with the right exposure, they can go far in their netball careers,” said Ayanda.

Pamela, who joined the team this year, has already made a significant impact, “I saw her playing in local competitions and knew I had to absorb her into our team. She’s strong and talented, and I believe she has a bright future in netball,” said Ayanda.

“Your support will go a long way in developing Nkangala and its members and ensuring that our players and officials can compete at a national level,” said Nkangala Netball Secretary, Aggrey Mokoena.
