In their monthly meeting, the Women’s Agricultural Union, Magnolia branch, showcased their talents for the articles competition.
The ladies also embarked on acts of goodwill as they showered pre-school learners with gifts on Tuesday, September 3.
Competition judge Robin Schmidt shared that the branch outdone themselves as they handed in 24 articles to be judged.
“All knitted, crocheted, and embroidered handovers were part of today’s competition,” Robin said.
Olive van der Westhuizen mentioned that they welcomed a guest to the meeting.
“We knitted blankets and crotchet socks among others, and we also welcomed our guest, Stella Bornebroek,” Olive added.
For the mini-competition, Frances Theron taught the ladies how to make envelopes.
