Ellen taking over the modelling industry by storm

Ellen’s modelling journey to balancing creativity, sustainability, regulation, and accountability.

At just 19 years old, Ellen Sikhosana is remarkably taking an impressive massive turn to success, with a blend of uniqueness, style, confidence, and devotion.

What started as a hobby to keep her busy, turned into a passion that drives her every day.

Ellen’s interest in modelling blossomed after attending fashion shows and crownings, eventually leading her to enter the Miss Supreme Sparkle Emalahleni competition, where she was crowned the public’s favourite.

Her experience and exposure have only focused on her goal to thrive in the field.

When it comes to her approach to modelling, Ellen is unapologetically herself.

She doesn’t prepare or overthink her outfits or responses, instead, she lets her natural charm shine through.

Her inspiration, Thuso Mbedu, is a testament to the power of young, ambitious, and goal-driven individuals making a mark in the industry.

“My journey hasn’t been without its challenges, but I learned to navigate criticism and disappointment by focusing on my worth and values,” said Ellen.

Her most memorable experience was walking the runway for a local fashion show.

As she navigates the ever-evolving fashion industry, Ellen is aware of the challenges and opportunities that come with it.

She emphasizes the importance of balancing creativity with sustainability, regulation, and accountability.

“When I’m asked about my fitness routine, I credit my natural slender physique and home workouts for my toned body,” she said.

Ellen is also learning about the business side of modelling, such as contracts, prices, and industry standards, as she advances in her career. In all of her communications, she takes the initiative to obtain legal counsel and consult with other professionals.

Aside from modelling, Ellen enjoys hosting events and recently joined the management team of a local organisation that sponsors local events such as the ‘Friday Local Get Together’.

“My long-term goals include gracing the runways of top fashion shows, entering the entertainment industry, hosting events, and establishing my own business and modelling agency,” Ellen concluded.

With her dedication to modelling, Ellen Sikhosana is a force to be reckoned with in the modelling industry.
