Mpumelelo from eMalahleni’s musical rise

Mpumelelo from eMalahleni sets to take the music world by storm

Mpumelelo Egnitius Hill (24) of eMalahleni has earned a reputation in the music industry with his distinct sound.

The up-and-coming artist’s love of music was instilled in him at a young age, since he grew up in an arts-oriented family.

His mother, a choir leader and stage performer, encouraged him to pursue his creative interests.

“I’ve always believed in creativity because I come from a creative family, and I’ve always had it in me to believe that you can brighten the world with a candle, so hold on to that and fight that small spark that puts you on,” he said.

Mpumelelo’s sound combines worldwide taste with a Kasi/ghetto identity, and he is gaining popularity among fans and industry insiders.

His influences include Yung Swiss, Saudi, KO, AKA, and Nasty C.

His path reached a turning point in 2019 when he performed at Witbank High School’s modelling contest.

This encounter cemented his identity as an artist and led him to greatness.

With his début album, ‘Earth 2.0’ on the way, Mpumelelo is set to take the music world by storm.

His message for aspiring artists is simple, “Believe in yourself and your passion, and never give up on your dreams,” Mpumelelo said.
