Winter essentials gifts for learners at Malihlokgonolo Stimulation and Residential Facility

CSC Witbank members spent Mandela Day in KwaGuqa.

Keeping the spirit of Nelson Mandela alive across eMalahleni, the Christian Social Council (CSC), Witbank, generously handed over winter essentials to the Malihlokgonolo Stimulation and Residential Facility.

 

The team headed to the facility located in Kwa-Guqa Extension 16 and donated blankets, drinks, and food packages as part of their 67-minute Mandela Day Commemoration.

 

Senior social worker Kurhula Masinga from the CSC spoke about the importance of not neglecting disability homes during the outreach programmes. She also thanked the sponsors who contributed to making the day a success.

 

Annah Thage who is the center manager at the facility shared that she is happy to see the donors who came out in numbers to show love and support to them on Thursday, July 18.

 

“These beautiful blankets will keep my children warm as it is a cold winter season and as you can see my children are happy to receive these wonderful and precious gifts. May God bless you all for the love and give you strength to carry on,” said Annah.

CSC Witbank collaborated with stakeholders and sponsors in efforts to make Nelson Mandela Day a success on Thursday, July 18.

The facility accommodates over 50 learners, 22 residing within the premises, and 30 in the stimulations department, “We would like to plead for kitchen utilities to be donated so that we can accommodate all of my children,” Annah ended.
