Two suspects were arrested in Mandela Street, but others fled after police stopped a truck driver on the N4 for driving erratically.
“I was speeding and driving recklessly so that someone could notice and report my reckless driving,” said truck driver Simon Lebibi, who was allegedly hijacked earlier today (July 17).
He was transporting goods from Kempton Park to Mbombela when he was allegedly hijacked and told to turn off on Mandela Street from the N4.
He added, “I’m left traumatised, as I’ve never been robbed before.”
