Hardware store robbed again due to lack of resources

The truck was later recovered, but the stolen materials are still missing.

A hardware store in eMalahleni was again robbed due to alleged insufficient resources to secure the shop.

This event occurred on Sunday, June 23, at approximately 00:30, and manager Shukuro Blaise alleges that this is not the first time the business has been robbed and that employees have been implicated in past cases.

According to Blaise, he and a co-worker were on duty when they were confronted by three men armed with firearms. The suspects allegedly tied them up with cable ties and loaded materials from the shop into a truck.

The owner, Saqlian Ali, reported to the police about this incident, “The truck was later recovered, but the stolen materials are still missing.”

Ali expressed his distress over the loss of stock and asked anyone with information to come forward and report it to the nearest police station.

The recurrent robberies have sparked worries about the shop’s lack of security, such as an alarm system. The community is calling for more help to prevent such incidents.
