eMalahleni Schools Challenge brings together youth talent

Emalahleni Local Municipality aims to promote recreation, sports, arts, and culture among youth in eMalahleni

The Emalahleni Local Municipality and Sports Wrap Foundation joined focus to host the annual eMalahleni Schools Challenge at Lynnville Stadium.

The event occurred on Sunday, June 16, when four schools, including Coronation Secondary School, Elukhanyisweni Secondary School, Zakes Malaza High School, and DM Motsaosele Secondary School, participated in the challenge, showcasing their talents and teamwork.

The event celebrated Youth Day by bringing together people from across the region for a fun-filled day of sports and activities.The finals took place at 14:30, with thrilling performances and competitions that left the crowd cheering.

According to the Emalahleni Local Municipality’s communication unit, the event aimed to promote recreation, sports, arts, and culture among youth and successfully achieved its goal.

The municipality’s youth office hopes to build on this in the future, providing a platform for young people to come together and celebrate their youth culture.
