Nkangala Athletics Academy excels at the Midack Cross Country League

Nkangala Athletics Academy demonstrated its prowess at the Midack Cross Country League, clinching an impressive total of 36 medals.

Among these were 14 gold, 13 silver, and nine bronze medals out of the 75 athletes from the academy who participated on Saturday, June 1, in the event, 11 secured spots in the top 5, with two athletes finishing in the top 10 and six within the top 15.

Coach Emmanuel Mthimunye said, “We are happy with our athletes‘ performance at the Midack Cross Country League.

It reflects the hard work and dedication they have put into their training.

Looking ahead, the academy is gearing up for the upcoming South African Cross Country Championships, “as we prepare our athletes to represent Mpumalanga in the South African Cross Country Championships that will take place in September. We are happy with how our athletes have responded to our training so far, and we look forward to a great season ahead,” Emmanuel said.
