Water will finally be returning

Residents were left reeling after being left without water for days, but according to the Emalahleni Local Municipality, the water woes of the weary residents should be coming to an end today as the plant has been running at full capacity during the night and pumping to the reservoirs has started.

Point D is sitting at 50% and water has been restored to areas being fed by this reservoir. Three pumps are running to Point B, but water levels remain low, and high-level areas may still be without water while the water level increases.

High-level areas being fed by Point C might still be without water, as it is only at 10% and is only being fed by the package plant. Point E is at 40% and very few people in areas fed by this point should still have water problems.

Anyone being fed by Point A will still be experiencing water problems as the reservoir is at 0%.

Most areas should have their water fully restored as the pumping continues.
