Local youth organisation set up to provide warmth and comfort to those in need

Good Samaritans intend to give blankets and soup to those in need to keep them warm this winter.

Two local initiatives, Praise in the Storm and the Odrile Foundation have joined hands to spread warmth and hope to the homeless population in our city. To provide comfort during the winter months, volunteers from these organisations have embarked on a mission to distribute blankets and soup to those in need.
The drive, which coincides with Youth Month, showcases young people’s dedication and empathy towards making a positive impact in their community.

Speaking about the initiative, Mpho-enhle Tsehla, a representative of the organisations, said, “The drive aims to keep people warm and to remind them that even in what may seem like a hopeless situation, there is nothing that can separate them from the love of God.”

The call for donations of gently used or new blankets, as well as clothing and soup ingredients, has garnered widespread support from the community. Contributions of any kind are welcomed and appreciated, as they will enable the organisations to continue their efforts in providing essential aid to those facing homelessness.
For more information on how to support or get involved, individuals are encouraged to contact Mpho-enhle at 071 229 1581.
