Drivers are warned to please drive with extreme caution as there is exceptionally thick mist on the N12 and N4 this morning which has already resulted in a massive pile up on the N12 just after Ogies at Greenside just before the S-bends.
Reports came into around 07:20 this morning about a car pile up as a result of heavy mist and drivers not using caution. According to witnesses on scene, the pile-up involves six vehicles, and drivers are still driving with high speed and a severe lack of caution in the current road conditions. Please slow down, turn on your lights, and keep a safe following distance.
Heavy mist has also been reported by witnesses between eMalahleni and Middelburg, and visibility is poor. Emergency services have been notified about the pile-up and are en-route to the scene.
