Water update | Municipality says if everything goes well water will be back in the taps by tonight
If everything proceeds as planned, eMalahleni will have water later today
Emalahleni Local Municipality has announced that the necessary spares for the damaged water supply equipment have been sourced and delivered to the repair site. Installation of these components is currently underway, with the expectation that the works will be completed within the next few hours.
If everything proceeds as planned, the system is anticipated to be commissioned later today (June, 6), allowing for full pumping from the dam to resume.
The on-going works are proceeding smoothly, and barring any unforeseen challenges, they are expected to be completed.
The municipality has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by these critical infrastructure repairs and assures residents that efforts are being made to restore the water supply as swiftly as possible.
