Career counselling for past matriculants

Free career counselling for past matriculants in eMalahleni.

Calling all past matriculants in eMalahleni – Are you struggling to figure out what career path you should take or what to study for? Then EMA Community Development might be able to help you with the answer.

They are on a mission to help the younger generation make informed decisions regarding what would be suitable for them in the future.

On Thursday, April 11, and Friday, April 12 they hosted a free career counselling session held at Love Life Community Centre.

They had speakers from SAPS, the Department of Health, EMA, and Yende Engineering giving talks about what career opportunities are available in their different fields.

Notable speakers were Matilda Yende, the core founder and managing director of EMA and Yende Engineering, Captain Vusi Mnisi and Captain Nthabi Morabedi from SAPS as well as George Mahlangu from the Department of Health.

On top of providing free career guidance, informative talks, and advice from knowledgeable people in various industries, they also provided past matriculants with a free breakfast and lunch.

They will be hosting another free career counselling session for past matriculants on Thursday, May 16, at the Love Life Community Centre, where once again they will be having keynote speakers, advice for past matriculants, and a free breakfast and lunch for anyone who attends.

Come and join them and make an informed decision about where you would like to go in life or simply find out more about the industries they work in, from people who have first-hand experience of what to expect on those career paths, and the opportunities available to the youth.

“We want to encourage all those past matriculants who are perhaps still unsure about what they want to do in life or don’t know what opportunities are out there to come and join us. What have you got to lose? We want to match your passion with opportunities,” said EMA administrator, Thembi Skosana.
