Skhumbuzo Zandamela (25), a budding artist and entrepreneur from Vosman, is looking for opportunities to demonstrate his unique artistic abilities
Skhumbuzo began his creative journey in 2017, and he has become a quiet force in the local art and music scene, but he believes that his work deserves to be appreciated by a larger audience.
Primarily known for his skills in designing clothes and creating vibrant paintings, Skhumbuzo’s journey began in high school, where he discovered a passion for blending primary and secondary colours on canvases and fabrics.
His artistry extends beyond the visual arts into the realm of music, where he excels as a rapper and Amapiano artist.
Despite facing the challenges of a slow-growing business, Skhumbuzo remains optimistic.
“I’ve poured my heart into my art and music, but the key to growth lies in exposure. It’s a challenge when people aren’t familiar with the range of services I offer,” he said.
Skhumbuzo began singing in church at a young age, emphasising the need for exposure to take his musical endeavours to the next level.
“I’ve released beats, and I’m ready to record, but I need the right platform to share my creativity with a wider audience,” he said.
The community has shown some support, but Skhumbuzo believes that more extensive exposure would not only benefit him but also bring a burst of creativity to eMalahleni.
“I want people to see the art and hear the music that represents my journey and the spirit of our community,” he said.
