Wiggly worms, huge cockroaches and live crickets are served

Justin Gunter and Sanmarie Prinsloo won the Fear Factor challenge.

Eating live creepy crawlies pushes your adrenaline to the next level to confront your deepest fear.

Gobbling up live cockroaches, gulping down bug juice, and eating cricket brownies are exactly what participants of Unicorn Wellness Hub’s Fear Factor did on Friday, March 1.

Teams participated in 10 events and navigated their way from picking up live worms with their mouths and eating one or two for extra points to holding a snake, and ultimately eating a live cockroach.

The Victory Life team consisting of Justin Gunter and Sanmarie Prinsloo won the challenge after they had to gobble down one last plate of creepies that consisted of bug brownies, bug smoothies, snails, fried worms, Mopani worms, tongue cubes, and last but not least, live cockroaches.

Storm Webber and Henru Hefer are ready to gulp down some bug juice.

“This was so much fun. Thank you to everyone who participated,” said Chantelle Vorster from the Unicorn Fitness Hub.

Justin and Sanmarie said they will be back next year to defend their title.
