No estimated timeframe for continuous power outages in Ga-Nala

Emalahleni Local Municipality has confirmed that the power outages in Ga-Nala are due to cable theft and vandalism at the substation.
The statement further outlined that the impact of theft and vandalism causes disruptions to essential services like water and healthcare, traffic lights, economic activity, and as a result power outages.

“Theft and vandalism strain the system and contribute to frequent trips after load shedding. No time estimate available for restoration,” the statement read.
