Four-month-old baby missing in Ga-Nala (Kriel) after being taken by supposed ‘caregivers’

The baby was wearing a pink babygrow when she was taken.

A four-month-old baby girl has been missing since yesterday (December 28) after she was taken from her mother by two women pretending to take the baby to a local clinic.

Lalicia Magumbu’s mother said the women came to her house in Thubelihle, Ga-Nala around 09:00, saying they were caregivers.

The so-called caregivers allegedly promised to donate food for the baby but told the mother she must provide them with the clinic card so that they could first take the baby to the clinic to get an injection.

They, however, never returned with the baby. Lalicia was wearing a pink babygrow when she was taken.

The family of the missing baby is pleading with the community for assistance in helping to find her.

Anyone with any information should contact Kriel police at 082 798 0723.
