Siyanqoba croc safely relocated to Loskop Dam

Residents in Siyanqoba saw the crocodile on Tuesday, December 12, just a few feet away from nearby homes.

The juvenile Nile crocodile caught in a dam in Siyanqoba last week is happy at its new home.
The croc that was captured by Piet Wassenaar who works together with the Mpumalanga Tourism and Parks Agency (MTPA) has been relocated to Loskop Dam.

The crocodile seems to be happy in its new home at Loskop Dam.

Residents in Siyanqoba saw the crocodile on Tuesday, December 12, just a few feet away from nearby homes.
Wassenaar set a trap and caught the juvenile the next day.
Johannes Lekoto, from the MTPA said the crocodile is in good health and has no injuries.
The MTPA warns residents in Siyanqoba to be careful near dams and streams.
