Night out turns into attempted murder

Police are on the lookout for a suspect who shot a man after an argument became heated.

An attempted murder case has been opened at the Witbank Police Station.
A late night out and an argument have caused one man to be admitted to the Witbank Hospital.
On Sunday, November 5 two friends were having fun when they were out and about.

Their last stop was at a trendy bar and restaurant on Mandela Street.
However, the two friends’ night turned sour when they decided to head home.
Upon getting to the parking lot, one of the two friends saw an old female acquaintance and struck up a conversation in the parking lot of the establishment.

It is alleged that the two friends were approached by another male in the meantime, and an argument ensued.
Reports state that the third unknown man stepped away while in an argument and returned with a firearm.

According to the victim, the man fired one shot at him when his friend sped off, taking him straight to the Witbank Hospital.
Investigations are still ongoing to find the shooter and bring him to justice.

The victim who was shot is in recovery.

The victim however did not disclose where he was shot and how long recovery will be.
