Mpumalanga Future United and Sibange Young Bucks share the spoils

Despite numerous chances, both teams struggled to find the net in a tightly contested match at Lynnville Stadium.

A double header of the Mpumalanga ABC Motsepe League was billed to take place at the Lynnville Stadium.
In the first match, the spectators were treated to a very entertaining eMalahleni derby, a match between Mpumalanga Football Academy and Witbank Citylads.

In the second match, Mpumalanga Future United faced Sibange Young Bucks; the matches were held on Saturday, October 28.
Bucks were awarded a place-kick in the first few minutes of the match, and Sicelo Nkosi’s shot was saved for a corner kick.

United Siyabonga Ntjana striker had a break attack, but he failed to control the ball and missed the opportunity.

Bucks were awarded another place-kick, Phumulani Nkosi was saved for a corner kick and Baby Mandonsela’s shot went wide.

Both teams created chances but failed where it mattered most, putting the ball into the net.

United’s double attack by Phillimon Maseko and Sibusiso Maseko did not yield any positive results. Sibusiso was yellow-carded for rough play.
United’s Samkelo Tembe had a chance to register a goal, but he shot over the crossbar.

Bucks’ Phumulani was in the right position to score but failed with his final shot, and in turn, United Phillimon hit the side net while trying to score.
In the second half, after both teams made substitutes, Bucks made a double substitution.

United’s Tapelo Dludlu shot wide, missing a chance to register a goal, and Bucks Innocent Mahlangu also had his shot saved.

Bucks had a place-kick and Xolani Mbuli curled the shot, but it missed the target.

United had a break attack and Tapelo’s shot was saved.
With the match continuing at a slow tempo and both teams trying to find the target, both had their share of misses.

United had a last chance to score, but Tapelo shot over the bar. United brought in Lizwi Zulu toward the end of the match, and their goalkeeper Raymond Mkhwanazi was yellow-carded for arguing with the referee. Bucks had a place-kick and Phumulani Nkosi’s shot was saved.
The match ended in a dull 0-0 draw.
