Business robberies surge in Ferrobank

A college representative confirmed that the robbery took place on Friday, October 27.

Vosman police are looking for three unknown suspects who allegedly robbed a community college near Ackerville.

According to Vosman Police Elizabeth Hlathi, the community college in Ferrobank near Ackerville lost numerous office materials during a business robbery.

It is alleged that the security guard on duty noticed three unknown male suspects standing near a Jojo Tank outside the college.

It is believed that the other two unknown males broke the guard room’s window and got inside.

“One suspect allegedly had a firearm which he used to threaten the victim. They took his shoelaces and tied both his hands.

The suspects managed to get hold of the other security guard who at the time was in another guard room on the premises,” Captain Hlathi said.

It is further alleged that the suspects broke into the community college’s main building where they stole laptops, computers, monitors, and drill machines.

A representative from the college who wished to remain anonymous confirmed that on Friday, October 27 at around 02:00 a robbery took place at the college,

“No one was injured during the robbery and the matter has been escalated to the police,” the representative confirmed.
