Youth being taught the know-how of business

The NBC aims to empower young people to explore their entrepreneurial ambitions and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the business world.

Young adults who are interested in entrepreneurship and want to explore the world of business attended the Youth in Business Workshop recently.

This second-of-its-kind workshop was well attended on Saturday, October 21.

Various opportunities were discussed, and the youth’s interaction was very valuable.

Dan Skhosana, president of the Nkangala Business Chamber (NBC) welcomed the youth. “He taught on the great importance of renewing our minds and realising that our only limits are the limits of our thinking. Focused prayer was also part of the training and session,” said Neo Thage, digital marketer at NBC.

Skhosana emphasised the importance of communication, leadership, time management and problem-solving within any business.

He also provided inspirational stories and insights into the challenges and rewards of business ownership.

“As the NBC, we aim to empower young people to explore their entrepreneurial ambitions and equip them with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in the business world,” said Skhosana.

The next workshop will take place shortly, as there is a great need for hands-on input and mentoring from business leaders.

Youth who are still looking for a business they want to pursue are encouraged to join the Level 1 membership which is R1 375 yearly or R165 monthly.

The membership benefits include a recruitment portal, business directory, networking sessions, newsletter, eligibility to access and mentorship program.

For those who have running businesses, there is up to Level 5 membership.
