In efforts to commemorate 83 female electricians and artisans, the Energy and Water Sector Education Training Authority (EWSETA) in collaboration with Power Africa, a US Government-led partnership awarded a certificate to the group of women.
The event took place at Emalahleni Local Municipality’s Civic Theatre on Tuesday, October 17.
Having recently completed their six-month skills programme in Renewable Energy Specialisation, candidates are now in a far more favourable and empowered position to actively bring solar power solutions to communities as solar panel installers and more.
Nkangala, Ehlanzeni, and Gert Sibande TVET Colleges students were among those celebrated.
