The fest also hopes to broaden the student’s horizons and be empowered with ideas.

Thandeka Maseko (MC).

The fest was held at the Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) Emalahleni Campus on Wednesday, October 11. The campus was visited by industry giants such as Telesure who also had speakers to inspire and inform the students.

Cruz Khumalo.

“We are gathered here today, and I am thrilled as we embark on a journey of the ever-evolving technology in the world of programming. This event is the second version of what we had last year. The main aim of the event is to gather programming enthusiasts to come here so that we can share with them what we know and prepare them for the world out there, hence we have invited people from academia, and we’ve invited colleagues from the industry to come here and address you on various aspects that can give you success in your career. So it is not just a normal gathering, but we also want to make use of this opportunity to establish a community platform that could connect you with the world out there that can connect your students with industry experts and you to be inspired by the limitless opportunities that are out there. The world out there is waiting for you to explore it. If you are doing programming, there are no shortcuts. It requires engagement and a sober mind,” said one of the key speakers and section manager at the TUT, Senyeki Marebane.
