Dry taps are expected in various areas all over the city

It has not been confirmed when the normal water supply will return.

The local municipality communications unit has issued a notice regarding water supply shortages in the city today (Wednesday).

“Due to the ongoing water outages at Die Heuwel proper, portion of Witbank extensions, Marelden extensions supplied by point A ground reservoir and some areas supplied by point C reservoir, this has necessitated the isolation of some other areas to try and improve the levels of point A and point C,” read the statement.

Other areas are also affected due to temporary isolation. Die Heuwel extensions, Blancheville extensions, Highveld Park extensions, Seekoewater Plots, Riverview plots, Jackaroo Park and Clearwater Estate will temporarily have no water.

It has not been confirmed when the normal water supply will return.

“The above-mentioned areas will remain isolated until there’s enough capacity at points A and C,” concluded the statement.
