Royal Eagles Bikers Club honours legendary and oldest bikers

President of the club, Jay Kotze expressed gratitude to fellow bikers for attending the 'jol'.

Royal Eagles Bikers Club hosted their fellow riders for a third annual jol.

The club had a variety of competitions and fun games that members, young and old, participated in.

Marinda Stoltz, Johan Richard, Jay Kotze, Leon Olivier, and Elizabeth van Eden.

During the jol, a prize-giving ceremony was held to honour bikers; the club awarded its oldest biker, Johan Richters (78), and Gert Keeves and Fonnie Dreyer received the Legendary Bikers Award.

The Legendary Bikers Award is given to fallen bikers who are still able to ride despite their physical challenges.

The biggest club trophy was scooped by Royal Eagles Middelburg.

The most spirited club trophy went to Victory Life Witbank Club.

 

Jay Kotze who is the president of the Royal Eagles Club, Witbank, said he is proud to be a part of the biking community that looks after one another, attends each other’s jols, and supports fellow clubs financially as well, “We also had food stalls in order to support our riders’ businesses. We had an entrance fee of R100 that will also go towards the club’s funds and will help out a lot. We had prizes that were given out randomly for riders to enjoy,” ended Jay.
