Emalahleni Men of Destiny presenting an event to teach boys to be good men

All will be welcomed with open arms at the New Jerusalem Church.

The Emalahleni Men of Destiny invites all fathers, single mothers’ sons and daughters to a reconciliation and blessing gathering.

The gathering, themed: ‘Boys to men development’ will be held at the New Jerusalem Church New Extension in Phase 4.

The purpose of the event to be held on Saturday, October 7 is to build strong relationships between fathers and their children, sons and daughters as well as to encourage the spirit of reconciliation. The event will start at 10:00 till 14:00.

“Millions of children from an early age are growing up and living without their fathers. Some of the children are from a separation relationship and divorce and that is why God hates divorce because it has bad results. Those children are living under abuse, rejection and even poverty. When they are old they engage themselves in drugs, alcohol, crime and sexual activities and become dangerous in the community,” said Pastor Ignatius Mahlangu of Emalahleni Men of Destiny.

The organisation has embarked to mobilise the community to build a strong grassroots foundation for children to be protected from abuse and to train parents to be better parents.

Parents are encouraged to fight against the spirit of teenage pregnancy.

The organisation also presents programmes at schools and in the community that will protect the millions of children who are still growing up and promote the spirit of protecting and guiding.

Recently the organisation visited schools addressing young boys and most of them pointed out that they are staying with their grandmothers.

In one of the schools visited, a Grade 7 boy was found selling dagga cakes to other learners.

The gathering on October 7 will have different speakers talking about reconciliation, deliverance and blessings.

“We are going to introduce two committees. Emalahleni Sons and Daughters committees will be responsible for organising, daughters’ workshops, seminars, conferences and camps. These are the people who are supposed to be good role models to the young girls and boys who are still growing up. Contributions for catering is R100 per family,” concluded Pastor Mahlangu.
