A 34-year-old male suspect was arrested for the alleged possession and distribution of drugs in Ga-Nala.

According to Kriel Police Communications Official Constable Angel Makubu, the police were conducting normal stop and search operations when they received a tip-off about a sky-blue Honda vehicle with Swaziland registration plates supposedly transporting drugs in Ga-Nala.

Kriel Police arrested a 34-year-old suspect for alleged possession and distribution of drugs to the value of R20 000.

Police launched a manhunt and began patrolling Guardian Street when they noticed the vehicle fitting the description of the suspected vehicle, “The driver who was alone in the car tried to escape, but it was too late for him. The police searched and discovered seventeen small black plastics full of dagga, 22 small plastics with white powder suspected to be different substances (Cat, Rock, Crystal Meth, and Cocaine),” said Makubu.

 

On Friday, September 15 Kriel Police seized substances to an estimated value of R20 000.
The suspect is expected to appear before Kriel Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 18.
