It has been three days since 80-year-old Jeff Clapperton went missing.

His family has been searching frantically, but up to now there has been no sign of him.

His daughter, Ms Jayne Lombaard said they are trying all avenues to try and figure out where Clapperton last was.

They initially thought he went to the River Crescent Shopping Centre, but video footage shows no sign of him.

“We have been to all the places we could think of, but there is just no trace,” Lombaard said desperately searching for an answer.

She said R1 000 was withdrawn from her father’s account on Saturday and Sunday.

“This is so out of character for my dad. He is a routine guy.”

Clapperton was driving a white Hyundai Atos, registration: FJX 072 MP and is suspected to have been wearing grey or black tracksuit pants and a black tracksuit jacket.

He has tattoos on both arms.

Clapperton is about 1.6m tall and weighs 55kg.

He has grey hair and blue eyes.

A missing person’s case was opened at Witbank Police Station.

Anyone with information on Clapperton’s whereabouts is asked to urgently call Jayne at 082 853 0944 or Daymond Lombaard on 082 821 0309.
