Two women raped in eMalahleni
The second rape incident took place at a plot in Duvha Park.
Witbank Police are investigating two rape cases that happened on one day.
In the first instance, it is alleged that the woman was hitchhiking on Sunday, June 25 at around 12:00.
She got a lift from a driver and she proceeded to exchange numbers with him before they parted ways.
Supposedly, the driver called her back later that day at around 17:50 and requested to see her.
The woman met with the driver and the two went to get takeaways together and thereafter the driver began looking for a guesthouse to sleep at.
It is believed that the woman and the driver found a guest house in Jelicoe Street in Extension X5 where he checked into the room.
It is alleged that they sat and chatted until 22:00 when the woman indicated that she wanted to go home.
The driver supposedly told the woman it was already late and that she should stay, which she did.
At around 01:13 the man allegedly climbed on top of the victim without her consent and forcefully removed her underwear.
According to the victim she tried to stop the man, but he did not stop.
The second rape incident took place at a plot in Duvha Park.
It is alleged that the victim was sexually assaulted in her home by an unknown suspect who allegedly committed a robbery.
