New mayor of eMalahleni announced

The new mayor was announced during a special meeting earlier today.

Nkangala Mayor, Clr Leah Mabuza is taking over the reins as executive mayor of Emalahleni.

Her name was in the hat together with names of the likes of Mr Charles Makola.

The special council meeting was held earlier today (June 27).

Clr Conny Nkalitshana put in her resignation on June 22, but over the weekend she still fulfilled the duties of an executive mayor.
