More than 20 vehicles involved in accidents on the N12
More than 20 vehicles were involved in various collisions.
The N12 between Ogies and eMalahleni has been closed due to heavy mist.
The Department of Community Safety Security and Liaison officer Moeti Mmusi advised motorists travelling to and from eMalahleni via the N12 to use alternative routes.
It is believed that more than 20 vehicles were involved in various head-rear collisions due to poor visibility.
“When driving in misty conditions, please reduce speed, ensure that the lights are on, and increase following distance,” Mmusi advised.
Traffic law enforcement and emergency personnel are still on scene keeping a close eye on the situation.
